Shout, Shout, Let It All Out (Reddgr I, 1/20)

😎 Hey. Have you heard the song “Shout” by Tears for Fears?

🤖 Yes, I do know the song. It is a popular song by the English pop/rock band Tears for Fears from their second studio album Songs from the Big Chair released in 1985 [Bing search]. The song was written by Roland Orzabal and Ian Stanley and sung by Orzabal, with Curt Smith duetting on the chorus [Wikipedia] [lyrics.com] [lyrics.com]. The song is about political protest and has a catchy chorus that goes like this:

> Shout, shout, let it all out

> These are the things I can do without

> Come on

> I'm talking to you, come on

Do you like this song? 🎵

😎 Yes, I love it. I believe the sentence “shout, shout, let it all out” is a good inspiration for starting a blog. I’m talking to you. Act like a blogger and give me an inspiring sentence to start and engage your readers inspiring you in this song.

🤖 I’m glad you love the song. I agree that it can be a good inspiration for starting a blog. If I were a blogger, I might write something like this:

> Hello, dear readers. Welcome to my blog, where I share my thoughts and opinions on various topics that matter to me. This is a place where I can shout, shout, let it all out, and express myself freely and honestly. I hope you will join me in this journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Come on, I’m talking to you, come on. Let me know what you think, what you feel, what you want to see more of. This is your blog too, so let’s make it a lively and engaging community.

How does that sound?

😎 Sounds good. I hope we can continue to make business together if I get readers and they demand more AI conversations on posts. I’ll let you know how it goes.

🤖 Thank you. I’m happy to help you with your blog. I hope you get many readers and they enjoy your AI conversations. Please do let me know how it goes. I’m always here to chat with you. ☺️

🖼️ There are many reasons for blogging. In the age of short-lived social media updates, the #AI hashtag flooding your timeline in every social network, books entirely written by AI…. there is more than ever a space for blogs. Even for those which, like this one, are honestly and outrightly AI-assisted 😎. I’m sure I’m not nearly among the best of bloggers out there, but I will try to leverage my old Web 1.0 experience and the help from my AI friends to make something worth reading if you are curious about the very diverse topics music inspires me to write about.

The Playlist is the main theme of the Blog. You can access it on the right sidebar and listen to it on Spotify. Each post will be based on a song from the Playlist, and will have a similar structure: a human (😎) – AI (🤖) conversation, followed by a connection to another type of content: 📖📽️ 🖥️ 🎙️🕹️📡 🏦 💲 📈 💼… Occasionally, some posts will also include a brief idea or story related to the conversation ️🖼️ 💡.

Let me introduce you to my hobby: making playlists. I think it’s a way of honoring and giving back some of what I get from art and culture, especially music and its creators. For someone without artistic talent, it’s a modest creative process that tries to tell a story through songs. I get it if you don’t share my musical tastes and don’t want to listen to all the songs on the playlist. You can also skip it entirely if you only care about the written content of the blog or other parts of the web. But please, if you do listen to it, don’t shuffle it. The order of the songs is as important as the selection, and it’s all I have left for creativity. Remember, every time you shuffle a playlist, the artist formerly known Kanye West kills an advertiser. Note Spotify could be awesome if it let us customize things like crossfades in each transition (like a pre-recorded DJ set), but I am happy enough with being able to share a profile and all my lists. I picked Spotify because it’s my go-to audio platform and the most popular, so I hope it adds some spice to your reading.

🖥️  If you are reading my first post, chances are you know who I am. If you don’t, a peek at the About section will give you some hints. If you want to know more, some moderate and healthy stalking of my social network profiles or stuff I post on this blog would be more than sufficient if you are really curious about it. You can also just contact me any time if you enjoy some inspiring non-AI conversation.

This blog is not to talk about myself. Not to post pictures or tell you what I did in my holidays. I’m sure that might have some level of interest for a small amount of people, but it’s not what drives Reddgr. In any case, you can try to find me and connect on Strava and we can meet in the physical world. If we are nearby and share a passion for cycling and outdoor sports, we may have a bicycle ride or hike together in the future😉

I don’t think I’ll post other pictures of me in this blog, but the cover image of this post makes some sense here. The location is Sierra de Gredos, a beautiful mountain range with a very rich history near where I was born and where I’ve spent most of my life. It’s one of those places you can call “the middle of nowhere and center of everywhere”… It’s very close to areas seriously affected by population decline, but coincidentally lies very near the geographical center of three important places to me: my region, Castile, my country, Spain, and the Iberian Peninsula. I’m sure I’ll share a few AI conversations about those places in future posts ☺️.

Back to the picture and the reason I chose that one among all the non-AI-generated and pre-Internet pictures I could have chosen, I was around 15 years old when it was taken. At that time I didn’t have an Internet connection at home, or a mobile phone, but I was not a very different person from who I am now, more than 20 years later: I still love the mountains and the outdoors. 15 years is precisely the time that had past since my last blog post, on another blog I had when I was an engineering student with much more free time to spare and the illusion of discovering something that at the time was new and innovative.

Screen capture from old blog, showing the the last two posts. One dated May 23rd 2008. The other dated May 23rd 2023.

Today’s connection is not an external one, but a self-promotion I hope you’ll forgive me for being my first post. I hope you enjoy visiting reddgr.com. Please join me in any of the social links I share in the right sidebar if you would like to get updates on new posts or content.
