Bing and Copilot Chats
Microsoft’s chatbot, formerly known as Bing Chat, and later rebranded as Copilot, was one of the earliest LLM-based chatbots freely available to the public after its launch in February 2023. Always with generous usage quotas and powered by the latest OpenAI models, it was my main chatbot of choice for some time due to the convenience of using it through the Skype app. Copilot is also available as a standalone app on most mobile and desktop platforms, as well as through a web app, WhatsApp, and Telegram bots.
Bing Chat and Copilot conversations, most from mid-2023, are included in the Talking to Chatbots dataset, identified by the source field as ‘bing-skype.’ I’ve grouped the chats shared on the website under the categories below:
