😎 is there a way to change the field that is shown on the column that currently shows ‘Size’ in this view of Windows Explorer? The view is “Content”. I don’t want to change to other view such as Details because I want to keep seeing the thumbnails

🤖 Yes, you can change the fields displayed in the columns in the “Content” view of Windows Explorer, including changing the ‘Size’ column to show different details. Here’s how you can do it in Windows:

1. Open the folder in Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click on the column header where it says ‘Size’ or any other column header.
3. You will see a list of different columns that you can display, like ‘Date modified’, ‘Type’, ‘Date created’, etc.
4. To remove ‘Size’, just uncheck it from the list.
5. To add a different column, like ‘Date created’, check it from the list.

Unfortunately, the “Content” view is somewhat limited in the range of details it can display as columns compared to the “Details” view. If the property you want to see is not available in the “Content” view, you might not be able to add it directly there.

Remember that changes in the view settings will apply to all folders of the same type unless you have customized folders to use specific templates (General Items, Documents, Pictures, Music, or Videos). If you want to make the changes only apply to a particular folder, you need to access the folder’s properties and customize its specific template.
😎 No. The Content view does not have column headers
🤖 My apologies for the confusion. In the “Content” view, you’re correct that you do not get column headers like in the “Details” view to directly select and add additional details. In the “Content” view, certain file details are displayed under the file or folder names, such as date modified and type, but the set of details shown is not customizable in the same way as the “Details” view.

However, if you need more control over the details displayed, you would need to switch to the “Details” view. This is a limitation of the “Content” view in Windows Explorer. The design of this view focuses on providing a visual representation with thumbnails and some basic information, with customization options being more limited compared to the “Details” view.
