Google should have Google Chat just like it previously had Google Search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>@burkov on \ud835\udd4f<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>I came across this opinionated post by <a href=\"https:\/\/thelmbook.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Andriy Burkov<\/a> on \ud835\udd4f, the content platform where any niche discussion can be amplified to the category of existential debate, thanks to the magic of its algorithm, and the selfless collaboration of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Reply_guy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">reply guys<\/a> like me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The replies to Burkov&#8217;s criticism of Google&#8217;s branding choice presented <strong>other famous AI names that some people think &#8216;suck&#8217;<\/strong>, such as ChatGPT (&#8220;the name is awful&#8221;), along with Google&#8217;s previous Bard (&#8220;i guess you don&#8217;t remember the BARD then&#8221;) and the brand new Nano Banana (&#8220;you&#8217;ll appreciate Gemini is a better name&#8221;). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Branding decisions are undoubtedly crucial for businesses, and <strong>they are very much in the public eye<\/strong>, as shown by  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.perplexity.ai\/search\/boris-johnson-s-pronunciation-1wdoUI0pTu.FUrJrYqGv1Q#0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Boris Johnson&#8217;s peculiar pronunciation of A.I. and ChatGPT that went viral<\/a>, or by relatively high-stakes corporate moves such as <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/11\/06\/openai-acquired-chat-com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">OpenAI&#8217;s multimillion-dollar acquisition of the chat.com domain<\/a> and the same company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2024\/02\/15\/no-gpt-trademark-for-openai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">failed attempts to register the GPT trademark<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Time Magazine\u2019s named a number of \u201carchitects of AI\u201d as the Person of the Year.<br><br>But it left out Boris Johnson, who should have been included solely based on how he pronounces \u201cAI\u201d and \u201cChatGPT\u201d. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JIsjPT6F7U\">pic.twitter.com\/JIsjPT6F7U<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Trung Phan (@TrungTPhan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TrungTPhan\/status\/1999186473162047850?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 11, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I love A.I.* Do you use A.I.? that any person, regardless of skill or enthusiasm, can go to for every casual use of gen AI from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/FacebookAIslop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Facebook AI slop<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingtochatbots.com\/needs-vs-wants-work-life-thoughts-and-gemini-2-0-flash-infographics\/#ghibli\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Ghibli style transfers<\/a>. The landscape has shifted significantly since the early days of this blog, when OpenAI&#8217;s models (then branded <strong>DALL\u00b7E<\/strong>, which I find a great name) mainly competed with open-source Stable Diffusion (a software executable in our computers, or &#8216;wrapped&#8217; in websites and community-driven platforms like <a href=\"https:\/\/nightcafe.art\/ru\/Reddgr?refsrc=share\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">NightCaf\u00e9<\/a>), as well as privately owned Midjourney and Ideogram. Today, <strong>Elon Musk&#8217;s xAI is also a major contende<\/strong>r, propelled by the integration of <a href=\"https:\/\/grok.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Grok<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/grok.com\/imagine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Grok Imagine<\/a> in the \ud835\udd4f platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hardcore AI imaging hobbyists still pursue advanced use cases, such as fine-tuning their own Stable Diffusion models with their own images, but the spotlight right now is mainly on the heated battle between OpenAI and Google for releasing their best models. As of this writing, OpenAI&#8217;s latest announcements include the release of GPT Image 1.5, their most advanced image generation model, available via API and to ChatGPT users, and <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/new-chatgpt-images-is-here\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">the new &#8216;ChatGPT Images&#8217; module<\/a>, which lets you manage your images separately from the text-based chats. This enhanced UI enables you to send image generation prompts directly to the tool, or perform tasks like style transfers or inpainting without opening a chat view. href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/OpenAI\/status\/1963697012014215181?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">&#8216;branched conversations&#8217;<\/a><\/strong>. This addition brings greater flexibility to managing multi-turn chats. Context adherence in chats with images has improved significantly in the newer versions of ChatGPT and Gemini, so being able to separate certain pieces of the context into different chat branches has become particularly useful when working with images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, an ideal point in the chat to generate the photo with Elon Musk and Sundar Pichai staring at Sam&#8217;s book was right after the picture of Sam alone. ChatGPT nailed it (see the featured image at the top of this post). However, if we want to go back to replicating the solo photo with other individuals, continuing in the same chat would not be the best idea, since the context has been altered with significant new elements (three persons in the picture instead of one).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex Anyway, <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingtochatbots.com\/needs-vs-wants-work-life-thoughts-and-gemini-2-0-flash-infographics\/#aioseo-ai-that-makes-infographics-removes-watermarks-another-slop-generator-or-photoshop-killer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">the superior solvency of Google&#8217;s models in making infographics<\/a> led me to bring some of the generations from ChatGPT into Gemini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first thing I did was crop Google&#8217;s CEO out of the image to avoid further refusals. Despite the current trend of relying on highly structured inputs, <a href=\"https:\/\/jsonpromptgenerator.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">even in JSON format<\/a>, when prompting these tools, other known prompting techniques, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/uxplanet.org\/5-things-to-do-to-avoid-prompt-treadmill-when-crafting-design-with-ai-0569d4894473\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">&#8216;prompt soups&#8217;<\/a>, certainly do their job. Although I am well aware of the different approaches for prompting these models, <strong>the prompts I sent to Nano Banana Pro for this particular task were purely natural language, carefully worded to mirror my own thought process when imagining the photo I wanted<\/strong>. They even included clarifications and explicit &#8220;watch out&#8221; advice. When chaining prompts, I also relied on simple formulas of positive natural-language feedback, such as &#8220;good, now let&#8217;s do&#8230;&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This type of prompting definitely worked for my purpose, and the output was great. I never created this website to compete in SERP rankings with how-to guides, or to frame overly convoluted, impractical &#8216;prompt engineering&#8217; tips as expert advice. I just share this for fun, acknowledging there is nothing particularly meritable about it.
